Rosemary Essential oil & Pink Clay Soap

Salt Spa Bar Collection

Why Spa Bar?

Because of the way the soap feels on your skin …. luxurious and silky with the added benefit of Essential oils. Your, at home spa experience awaits you!

Why not have a shower in the morning, inhale the aroma and start the day invigorated. Rosemary soap is also great to take in the evening before going to bed to help you relax.

Rosemary Essential oil:

Known as the “Dew of the sea” in Latin, the Rosemary plant has a herbal note which is very refreshing to your senses! (Think crushed pine needles!)

Pink clay:

Has a strong mineral content: magnesium, selenium, and zinc. It works as a natural, gentle exfoliant, as well as a way to remove oils and impurities from your skin whilst leaving your skin baby soft.

Pink Himalayan Rock salt:

Packed with 84 minerals which match the ones in our body, it is antibacterial by nature. Pink Salt is a great exfoliant that rids your skin of dead cells, making way for fresh new ones.

We use finely ground Himalayan rock salt in our Spa bars, that may feel “scratchy” by nature which is great for your exfoliation.

Organza bags:

Keeping your soap in the bag creates a thicker lather and makes the soap last longer. The lather is also finer compared to using the soap directly on your skin, so ideal for your face.

Hang it up to let all the water drain off, also to prevent it sitting on dirty sinks. I always use an organza bag and place all my small pieces of soap in them  till they disappear, No waste!

Natural oils:

The base oils in our soaps combine beautifully to create a nourishing and moisturising bar of soap.

Glycerin:

Is a natural by product created after the oils are mixed together during saponification (This is when the chemical reaction of fats and oils react with lye to form soap. Saponification literally means "turning into soap" from the root word, sapo, which is Latin for soap. The products of the saponification reaction are glycerine and soap) It draws water to the skin, effectively balancing its moisture levels.

All our soap has naturally occurring Glycerin.

Salt is hydrophilic, meaning it attracts moisture from the air.

Combine that with the Glycerin, which is naturally present in handmade soap and like salt, has hydrophilic properties.

Glycerin is also a humectant - which allows the skin to retain moisture. For this reason you may find that your soaps may have moisture on them. This is perfectly normal and a sign of natural ingredients in your soap.

You can store your soap in an airtight  container or bag to keep the moisture out, after all you want to keep that moisture for yourself!
